On March 2nd 2026, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković met with the authors of the exhibition “In the Beginning Was the Kingdom” – art historian Dino Milinović and historians Tomislav Galović and Trpimir Vedriš. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Culture and Media, Nina Obuljen Koržinek, the director of Klovićevi dvori Gallery, Antonio Picukarić, Gallery’s deputy director Petra Vugrinec and exhibition curator, Iva Sudec Andreis.
It was emphasized that the exhibition represents an exceptional cultural event because various significant Croatian cultural treasures have been selected and collected to be presented in one place – Klovićevi dvori Gallery. That includes important documents, archeological finds and works of art that testify to Croatia’s past and its connection with European history.
The exhibition was opened on October 16th 2025 and was viewed by more than 50 000 visitors in four months. The exhibition will remain open until March 15th 2026.
