The Annual Prize of the Croatian Society of Art Historians for the best exhibition in 2024 has been awarded to the exhibition project “Light in the Darkness: 17th Century Dutch Painting in Croatian Collections”, held at the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery from 12 December 2024 to 9 March 2025. The award was presented to the exhibition’s author, Ivan Ferenčak, curator Valentina Bach, and the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery. This exhibition featured a comprehensive, scholarly catalogue that will serve the domestic and international professional and academic community as a lasting outcome of the provenance research from which the exhibition emerged, and as a foundation for further critical engagement with the presented material.
The award ceremony of the Croatian Society of Art Historians took place at the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery on 25 June 2025 at 12 p.m. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to art critic, museum professional, and author of numerous exhibition projects, Vladimir Crnković. The Annual Exhibition Award went to the project “Light in the Darkness: 17th Century Dutch Painting in Croatian Collections“, by Ivan Ferenčak, curator Valentina Bach, and the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery. The Annual Award for the Promotion of Visual Culture was awarded to the exhibition “One Hundred Years of the Galić Salon”, by authors Jasminka Babić, Sandi Bulimbašić, and designer Viktor Popović.
The jury for the 2024 Croatian Society of Art Historians Awards consisted of:
